Optical Beam Measurement

It consists of an IEEE1394 I/F board and software, and highly precise and highly efficient beam analysis can be conducted by combining with an ex­clusive optics and a industrial digital camera. By using the high-performance digital camera, the high resolution measurement, high dynamic range measure­ment, and pulse light measurement are possible.

Full range of optics for measurement of a wide variety of optical beams are available including for FFP and NFP optics.

The C8188 evaluates the characteristics of high speed optical signals, in­cluding laser diode time response and optical fiber transmission charac­teristics. There is no waveform distortion since our unique sampling tech­nology carries out all the operation from light detection to signal processing in one unit. This makes an ideal measurement device for evalu­ating laser diode pulse characteristics, glass fiber transmission character­istics, plastic fiber (POF) band measurement, and system evaluations, etc.
Optical Fiber and Device Characteristics Evaluation
Hamamatsu provides ultra-short pulsed light sources for evaluating optical fib­er and device characteristics. These are used in evaluating frequency charac­teristics of fibers used in POF optical communications and gigabit Ethernet as well as finding the response characteristics of light receiver devices.
