Closed Loop Repeatability (Typical): +/- 2 encoder counts Closed Loop Accuracy (Typical): +/- 58 microns / meter High resolution, compact, voice coil stages with up to 50.8 mm of travel, with no force or velocity ripple for very smooth motion, are ideal for precise motion control applications such as scanning, lens grinding, and laser and mirror positioning. Cross roller bearings can be implemented within the system to further eliminate sources of vibration. These motion control stages offer high force output per weight, and footprint. These direct drive, zero backlash stages with an encoder resolution as low as 0.0001 mm, acceleration up to 98 m/sec^2, and no moving cables offer the benefits of higher performance and greater reliability than belt or lead screw mechanical drive systems. Model Shown : VCS-006-10-005-E Required Electronics: Because of the very low inductance of the actuator, a DC linear servo amplifier is required to provide power to the Voice Coil. A programmable motion controller is required to close the position loop on the system. Mounting: Mounting holes are provided on the base plate, and moving slide plate to allow you to mount your payload directly to the Environmental Considerations: The NC Actuators should not be mounted in an environment that is wet or excessively dirty or in an environment with ambient temperatures (>50ºC).
