Process
Mul t i -S ta ge Su rfa ce Prepa ration Syste m s a re utilized for metal and plastic substrates. These s yste m s a re used extensi ve ly to prepa re
surfaces prior to painting or to clean parts after
machining or forming operations.
APPLICATIONS:
Typically, GlobalFinishingSolutionsWashersare used in the electrocoat process and pre-treatment of Class A fi n ished su rfa ces. Pa rt s re q u i ri ng high co rrosi o n protection such as: exterior automobile parts, aluminum wheels, appliances and office furniture may require up to nine washer sta ges. Pa rts t hat ha ve less st r i nge n t requirements may have only five or six stages.
The number of sta ges and the design of a Washer System depend upon the customers' finish specifications and the complexity of the parts to be washed.

Washers are used to clean and prepare substrates prior
to powder and liquid coa ti ng, ele ctro coa ti ng and

Washers are used before or after machining or forming of component parts.
Global Finishing Solutions also designs and builds Blow-Off Units and Dry-Off Ovens to completely dry parts after washing operations.
Most basic Washer Systems include a chemical cleaning stage, followed by water rinse, and seal rinse stages. Per specification requirements, the washer may include the addition of phosphate stages, additional rinse stages, and deionized or surfactant final rinse stages.
