Touch screen computer control: Operator friendly NEMA 4 rated Industrial Touch Screen computer with built in networking and gaging interface. Simple set ups for through feed and infeed operations. Removable flash card memory for quick in the field software upgrades. Automatic dressing and automatic work rest insert sizing The operator is able to perform these functions at a touch of a button. Using simple touch screen buttons, the dressing frequency, and dressing amount can be entered. The machine trues the work wheel, performs an air pass and adjusts the position of the work rest blade slide either automatically or after acknowledgement from the operator. Sensor controls include provisions for grinding multiple tapers Computer controls give the TF-9DHD the ability to interface with sensors whether through a manual feed or fully automatic feediing operation. Sensors are mounted on movable slides which can be placed to initiate infeed operation and create tapers on wire. 1st Mode: ideal for single taper grinds from 1" to 8" long. A single sensor will retract the slide at the completion of the grind. The grind shape is dressed in the grinding wheels. 2nd Mode: Profile grinding for multiple taper grinding. Sensors can be installed to grind multiple tapers on a wire. Each sensor defines the start of a taper. end of taper sensor automatically compensates slide retraction speed to produce the desired taper length. Vacuum head loads the wire from a tray, singulates, then loads the wire into the machine. The feeder then stages the next wire while the machine is grinding. An integrated unloader pulls the wire out of the machine at the completion of the cycle. System design is compact with minimal adjustment is required for full automation. Using distal sensors, this machine is capable of automatically grinding single taper forms up to 8" wide with no reliance on wire cut length at a rate of 13 seconds piece to piece fully automatic.
