Alarm signals
The Polytector II provides 4 clear
and different warning systems:1.A penetrating audible signalalarms with a sound level of 90 dB.2.In very noisy environments anearphone alarm provides addi-tional safety.3.A flashing alarm light with 6 LEDsgives a clear visual gas alarm. 4.A built-in vibrating alarm (option)makes you feel the danger. >
OX Detection – Sensors withextra-long lifetime The advantages of GfG’s elec-trochemical oxygen sensor:
Even a minimum reduction of theoxygen concentration in the brea-
thing air (usually 20.9 Vol %) may
mean vital danger. The Polytector IImeasures oxygen permanently andprotects the user from the danger
of suffocation due to oxygen defi-
ciency.
With its high quality electrochemicalsensor the Polytector monitors theoxygen concentration in a range
from 0 to 25 Vol. %. Latest techno-
logy in design and circuitry prevents
the quick consumption of the oxy-gen cell, which has been inevitableup to now. •Pressure and temperature com-pensation.•Quick response time.
•Reliable warning for oxygendeficiency and surplus. >
Built-in sampling pump
The Polytector II can be used with-out pump for permanent monito-
ring of gas hazards. With an electri-cal pump built in, the Polytectortakes gas samples from manholes,
sewers, confined spaces or tanks
and checks them for gas hazards. A
heavy-duty pump is available optio-nally, if a higher sampling perfor-mance is required, e.g. for landfills.
The Polytector monitors the pump
operation and gives a warning, if the
flow is stopped by e.g. water or par-ticles. >
3 alarms for every gas...plus a variety of options
For every gas the Polytector provi-des 3 alarm thresholds. The detec-
tor monitors the gas concentrations
continuously and gives a warning assoon as any of the gases exceed anypre-set level. Different alarm fre-
quencies indicate, which thresholdhas activated the alarm, and the dis-play shows, which alarm was causedby which gas. Two additional alarms
are optionally available for Short
Term Exposure Level (STEL) and Time
Weighted Average (TWA), i.e. aver-age values for 30 minutes resp. 8hours. This gives the Polytector a
dosimeter function for personal
protection and allows the user tostay longer in confined spaces with-out risking any health hazard. After
entering a safety code all alarm set-
points can be altered to meet new
requirements. >
