Founded in 1953 by Herbert and Gladys Fall, General Devices Co., Inc. provides engineers and designers with quality products and unique solutions for electronic packaging requirements. While serving as a Naval officer, Herbert Fall recognized the need for easier and less time consuming ways to service the "hard" or "static" rack-mounted electronic equipment. He developed a new kind of telescoping slide - the original Chassis Trak® - which made equipment easier to install and service.

Today, we are the proud supplier of millions of slides and additional electronic packaging hardware to government agencies and private industries throughout the world.

General Devices has witnessed the progress that has taken place in electronics since 1953 and we have responded with packaging solutions and innovative hardware designs to meet each new technological advance. General Devices will continue this record of timely reply as the industry continues to advance.

The products of General Devices are at work today in diverse markets. From computers, communications, telecommunications, broadcasting and military, emergency and recreational vehicles, medical, mining and natural resources, General Devices serves customers worldwide.

Currently, General Devices offers telescoping chassis slides, chassis, commercial and military cabinets, cooling modules, cable carriers and other cabinet mounted hardware.

Additionally, with our own tool and die shop, we provide custom fabrication, stamping, welding, forming and finishing for our customers.

Still family owned, our products are sold through a network of factory representatives and distributors in the United States, Canada, Europe and through trading partners in the Middle East and Japan.
