Feat ures and Benefits
Tr#Empire SeriQs of refrigerated dryers are bQsed on on#prerr|se" usefnejgy to accomplish the task required with$ut waste.
We started with the heart of the unit, the heat exchanger. We examined all of the parameters that could waste energy in a heat exchanger and minimized them.
All-In-One Design
By keeping all of the heat transfer efforts in one heat exchanger, losses are virtually removed. Our all in one design funnels Empire's energy into the process of water removal, exactly where it should be. Additionally, the exchanger is capable of responding to changes in condition very quickly, resulting in much greater stability of the exiting dewpoint, the all critical result.
Better Refrigerant Oil Transport
Minimizing refrigerant charge, minimizing exchanger physical size, increasing face velocities and consolidating multiple circuitry results in excellent oil transport capabilities. This results in longer compressor life, ensuring clean, dry air delivery throughout the dryers life.
Approach Température
Extremely low approach is accomplished by providing maximum surface area in the exchanger and utilizing a highly efficient surface profile. This close approach means the refrigerant compressor can run at the highest suction pressure to produce the required dewpoint, maximizing the performance while minimizing the energy consumption.
Acid Resistant Surfaces
Today's compressor lubricants, left in poorly maintained conditions can quickly deteriorate to highly acidic states. Our heat exchanger, while not completely acid resistant, has a very high threshold, thus lengthening the life of the average unit well beyond competitive non-acid resistant materials.
Low Pressure Drop
By minimizing the exchanger pressure drop, valuable air pressure used to do work downstream is not lost.
Next comes the separator:
In order to ensure that the moisture we have condensed in the exchanger is properly removed, even at low flows (which is typically where separation becomes inefficient), we have added a stainless steel separating element. Our separator element effectively remove all condensate across all flow conditions. Because of this no moisture carryover goes back into the precooler / reheater section to be re-evaporated into the airstream and no energy is wasted.
Stainless Steel Materials
By using stainless steel materials in the exchanger we ensure that the exchanger surfaces do not deteriorate thus robbing the unit of performance. The exchanger continues to produce the same results day after day after day.
Smallest Refrigerant Charge
The compactness of the heat exchanger results in further benefit in keeping the refrigerant charge to a minimum. This means less possibility under adverse conditions of the compressor being sent liquid refrigerant, a necessity for reliability and longevity.
