Cost pressure; the need to save limited and expensive rawmaterials, regulations, environmental protection and customers' constantly increasing demands mean that operating parameters are forever getting tighter. For thesereasons simple open/closed controls are being increasingly replaced by automatic control systems. The physical valuesof pressure, temperature, volume flow, ph-value, etc. must beforever adjusted and controlled more precisely. With increasing automation the data is recorded automatically,stored and passed on to superior control systems. At thesame time pneumatically operated valves are replaced with motorized valves. The reason for this is often the increasingcost of providing compressed air or the venting of exhaust air in the unit. That means that other actuation concepts are becoming increasingly economically driven.GEMÜ takes these demands into account when developingnew products.
