In relation to the department
organization and to the programmed
operations, three
kinds of conveyors can be
used:
Belt Conveyor (picture 1)
It is a structure made of toothed
pulleys and a series of 6 automatic
tension toothed belts
covered with resilient material;
different trajectories can be
connected with frictions in
order to make them indipendent
one from the other. It is
used in three different situations:
Ą when a two movements
transferring device is interfaced
with other structures
placed along the conveying
line
Ą when it is connected with a
unit for the piece foot cleaning
Ą when it is used for the presence
of some accumulation
stations to be placed in some
strategic positions
Bar Conveyor (picture 2)
It is a structure composed of
two chains moved by a pinion
on which aluminium bars covered
with resilient material are
screwed; it is used for long distances
in order to reduce the
most possible the conveying
system costs.
Plates conveyor
It is a structure composed of 2
chains with neutral rolls moved
by a pinion. Aluminium plates
are placed on the chains; they
can run on rolls and they are
kept in position by two lateral
slide-ways. It is used when it is
necessary to grant an automatic
accumulation along the line
which is carried out by the plates
released from the transferring
mechanism.
Transferring is carried out pitch
by pitch with a feed programmed
according to the pieces
dimensions.
Ą different conveying systems allow handling of every
kind of piece up to maximum values of around. 2 m
of overall dimensions (for example: 120 x 140 cm) and
weight of 90 kg
Ą pieces accumulation is possible
Ą plates conveyors can be complete with devices (for
example lifting devices) to allow specific interventions
on the single piece (inspection, brushing, and so on)
Ą in case of the department layout changes, the whole
device could be easily placed in different working
zones
Ą structure with regulation systems for irregular support
levels
Ą teflon slide-ways to reduce frictions
Ą control unit with motoreducers or management
systems controlled by a central unit
Ą automatic or manual tension system of the motion
units
Ą intermittent motion with acceleration and deceleration
managed by inverter
Ą encoder for the pitch, slowing down and stop control
Ą structure made of tubular steel shapes painted with
two components epoxy paint
Ą machine with easy construction and reduced maintenances
