In the process the visus
system works by following
the steps mentioned below:
Ą as a first step it recognizes the
piece by photographing and
storing its geometrical features
(perimeter, area, widths,
eccentricity, and so on) and its
position in relation to the
Robot (the position can be
identified in the directions X
and Y with ROLL rotation)
Ą it recognizes the piece when,
by moving on the line, the
high intensity and directional
lights appear in its view range
Ą it picks out the position and
direction values by comparing
them with the ones stored
just for the sample
Ą with high speed serial lines it
communicates the data to the
operating system (PLC or
robot) in order to carry out its
proper programmmed sequence
or modify it by rotating or
translating the program in a
real time. In this way it is suitable
for the real and marked
values of the piece position
and direction.
Ą every piece with every shape can be learned and recognized
Ą each robot (from 1 to 4) can operate with a coordinates
system which is indipendent from the other ones
Ą the system can be enlarged with new functions by
using a programming language with specific properties
for images processing
Ą the geometrical coordinates of the objects are automatically
turned into mm or degrees
Ą the use of high resolution sensors allows a millimetric
measurement of the piece
Ą telediagnosis with remote director which can be
added to the system
Ą by digital signals interchange (input and output) with
external devices (PLC and robot), it is possible to control
the functioning and the synchronization by checking
the presence of eventual alarms
Ą the system is very easy because it can be used by guided
menu without the exigence of specific informatics
skills
Ą the software is multilanguages: italian, english,
french, german, spanish, portoguese
Ą the database which copies, renames, eliminates the
objects is managed by Hard Disk or on Floppy

It is a view automation process which notes the working flow by communicating
instructions of the good functioning, without any possibility of mistake
or doubts.
The unit includes 1 or 4 visus systems connected to the same numbers of
Robots managed by a PC and complete with support, lighting devices and a
monitor.
