The two positions carousel is placed inside the booth next to the floor Robot. Every motion step of 180° has a lenght of approximately 6”. The 4 positions carousels is composed of a turning bracing with 4 arms and a circular plate on which the glazing Robot is placed together with the different tools. Every pitch of 90° has a lenght of approximately 4”. The most important feature of this device is the possibility to have more than one turntable just for the additional cell operations (cleaning, loading, unloading) The washing tunnel (picture n.3) is an additional and necessary device: it is an automatic device for eliminating any waste on the workpiece. It is composed of a stainless steel box with an overturning device for spraying on the turntable after the transferring of the pieces to the devices placed at the end of the line. Ą It works with every kind of piece Ą the motion is controlled by brushless motors for using acceleration values connected to the kind of piece and its stability on the support table Ą the overturning device speed can change in relation to the kind of product and to the production programs Ą it can be connected with every kind of device in order to allow different department lay-outs Ą the piece position is marked by a high precision resolver which continuosly carries out reading by working as the 8th Robot axis Ą the piece position on the turntable, in relation to the Robot arm operation, is managed as the 7th axis of the Robot. Ą arms structure in stainless steel shapes Ą toothed ball bearing disk Ą safety platform composed of galvanized chequer plate Ą turntables for pieces support mounted on ball tight joint bearings in stainless steel complete with protection casing in stainless steel Ą aluminium turntables for pieces support Flexibility Reliability Precision CAROUSELS • Robot-Booth Coordination
