| | | Special Bulb Assembly These approved Fulton models contain a special "circuit breaker" spring assembly which instantly disconnects the bulb from the battery in the event of a broken bulb. A potential explosion is averted since the filament is instantly disconnected, preventing a potential spark hazard. It's easy to drop a flashlight, breaking the bulb. When this happens the filament is exposed to the atmosphere, sometimes with the filament continuing to burn for a moment... and this moment is enough to create the potential of an explosion if the atmosphere is explosive. All Fulton flashlights are black with yellow fittings, as called out by U.S. government specifications. | | |
