Introducing Frontier Pitt's high security bi-parting hinged gâte. The new Terra V Gâte was successfully impact tested by TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) to BSi PAS 68 standards. The impact test was conducted to prove the arresting capability of a Terra V Gâte when impacted with a 7500kg test vehicle at a speed of 50mph (80kph). In accordance with BSi PAS 68 a lorry was used to act as the test vehicle. On impact the Terra V Gâte brought the vehicle to a complète hait, with zéro pénétration onto site or past the gâte leaves. The cab of the truck was totally crushed. A key feature of the design ensured that ail forward energy was absorbed at the front of the equïpment and into the shallow 300mm deep foundations on impact. Immediately after the impact, the Terra V Gâte continued to be opened and closed as normal. No other company in the World can offer a product with gâte leaves that meet at such a shallow angle, surpass the standards for BSi PAS 68, and continue to operate immediately after the impact, without needing repair. This is a major breakthrough in high security, anti-terrorist barricades, which was witnessed by CPNI the (Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure), formerly NSAC (National Security Advice Centre) plus NICC; the UK Government's Advisory Body for Security.
