THE TERRA BOLLARD REMAINED FULLY FUNCTIONAL AFTER IMPACT. The impact test was conducted to prove the arresting capability of a Frontier Pitts Active Terra Bollard when impacted with a 7500kg test vehicle at a speed of 50mph (80kph) Frontier Pitts have developed the Active and Passive Terra Bollards to meet the requirements of our customers at Airports, Embassies, Palaces, Government Institutions and Military Bases around the World. In accordance with BSi PAS 68 a 7500kg lorry was used to act as the test vehicle and loaded with concrète blocks to meet the demanding spécifications for this test. On impact the Terra Bollard brought the vehicle to a complète hait with zéro pénétration onto site or past the units. After the impact the Terra Bollard remained fully functional and the operating mechanism continued to raise and lower.
