AnguSens Product Line AnguSens
inclinometers measure incline angles
with a multi-electrode array which determines the
conductivity of a fluid-filled cell. This sensor techno-
logy supports three different measuring ranges: ±5,
±15 and ±30 degrees. Besides this flexible choice
of range, the sensor technology also ensures a high
resolution of up to 0,001°. Arugged three-point
mounting on the sensor housing simplifies instal-
lation, particularly on uneven surfaces. The sensor
housing’s IPprotection class guarantees
industrial safe out-
door use. Similar to
rotary encoders, control
systems with very different interfaces have been
established in this market. Beyond analog inter-
faces like voltage, current, PWM or switching out-
puts AnguSens inclinometers support RS232 and
CANopen. Furthermore the AngusSens inclino-
meters can be configured using numerous para-
meters. >
INCLINOMETERS
Inclinometers Angles and inclines must be measured in many
applications to ensure the safe operation or to con-
trol automatic movements. An incline is defined as
any deviation from the vertical or horizontal axis wit-
hin the reference system. Inclines are significant in
construction machines, cranes, aerial ladders,
automatic stacker facilities and industrial
machining devices. Inclinometers allow an easy and efficient
way to measure position values without direct cou-
pling to the actuators. This fact and a high protec-
tion class permits them to be placed almost
anywhere, providing more flexibility for design
engineers. Inclinometers also allow simultaneous
measurement of two axes with a single sensor,
which can also reduce the design and engineering
effort compared to other sensor systems. >
