The unique Fortress Phantom Vertex Metal Detector utilizes the latest Digi­tal Signal Processing technology to detect and reject ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including stainless steel. With the highest processing power, Phantom systems are renowned for their superior speed, accuracy and ease-of-use.

Ideal for inline processing applications where space is limited, the ultra-slim Vertex detects metal contaminants in freefalling product prior to final packaging. Typically situated between a Multihead Weigher and a Vertical Form Fill Seal machine, product is gravity fed through the detector's aperture before being sealed in a pouch by a bagger.

Vertex is the best-suited solution for applications where packaging is metallic or too large for standard detectors. Using Core DSP technology, the system detects the small­est metal contaminants including pieces of wire, shav­ings and swarf.

Vertex includes a mountable remote control box that provides all the intelligence and first-rate functionality of Phantom digital technology. Additionally, custom de­signed support frames are available, allowing for easy installation.
