With the addition of a second ow transducer, it is possible to monitor ow in both directions. The F2000 Quad is suitable for up-down counters that can discern the leading and trailing edges of the quadrature signals.Current applications include using the F2000 as a speed-sensing device on mobile equipment. This bi-directional ow sensor can be used as a governor, sending frequency signals back to a PLC which enable it to make the necessary adjustments.
