Quick-change systems | At a glancePrinciple Quick-change systems connect the robot to the gripper system so gripper systems can be changed quickly. One-half of the quick-change system always stays on the robot, while its counterpart is permanently connected with the gripper system. Final placement on the robot occurs by merging the two parts together. Characteristics of FIPA quick-change systems Thanks to well-thought-out designs and a clear focus on practicality in daily use, solutions from FIPA successfully combine simple and rapid handling with the highest possible safety. Quick-change systems provide for: > Safety: Connections remain solid despite high loads and frequent exchange of the gripper systems > Speed: When a new gripper system is mounted on the robot, alignment is preserved so that very little time is required for readjustment after each exchange. > Low costs through pursuit of one important objective: Keeping machine downtime as short as possible The “S” quick-change system Convincing benefi ts of a system with a simple design type: > The FIPA solution is always the right choice due to its high compatibility with nearly all existing systems. > Variety (choice of four different sizes) ensures that the right quick-change system is available for every gripper system. > Optimized production methods and a focus on the most important factors deliver an outstanding price performance ratio. The “SR” quick-change system A complete selection of equipment scores with speed and safety: > Mechanical and pneumatic connections achieved in one work step. The results are impressive: gripper systems can be changed even faster, machines have very little downtime. > Since pneumatic connections are always engaged in the same way, compressed-air and vacuum supply lines are always properly lined up when gripper systems are exchanged.6 |
