FGI-AM High Performance Composite Solutions Another specially formulated resin system from Fibergrate. New Proprietary Resin System For Fibergrate and Chemgrate USDA Approvable Slip Resistant Corrosion Resistant Ergonomic Fibergrate Composite Structures, a pioneer in the composites industry, has developed a unique resin system that has been successfully tested to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungus that cause foul odors, discoloration, and mildew on the surface of the product that in some cases can degrade or corrode the product. Most FRP products, despite apparent smooth finishes, have a certain amount of microporosity on the surface of the product that allow bacteria and fungi that cause odors, discoloration and mildew to survive. While FGI-AM is manufactured with a proprietary resin system that protects the grating surface from the growth of bacteria and fungi that cause odors, discoloration and mildew, it does not protect users or others against food-borne (or diseasecausing) bacteria, As with any flooring system, FGI-AM products must always be used in conjunction with proper sanitation and hygience practices. As the acknowledged leader in resin systems development, with over 40 current formulations, Fibergrate is committed to furthering the advancement of resin chemistry to meet the needs of specific markets. To support that commitment, Fibergrate is engaged in on-going programs for the development and application of specially designed resin systems. The FGI-AM grating has been extensively tested by certified laboratories and independent food processors. In addition to protecting the grating surface from bacteria and fungi that cause odors, discoloration and mildew, FGI-AM maintains all of the qualities of Fibergrate FGI grating including USDA approvable, an ASTM E84 flame spread index of 25 or less, superior slip resistance and excellent corrosion resistance in many applications. FGI-AM resin system is now available for all Fibergrate® and Chemgrate® grating, plate, covered grating and stair tread products. Fibergrate’s Safe-T-Stand® work station platforms are also manufactured in this protective system. This product is intended only for non-public health uses.
