FIBERCORE 2009 Catalogue - 36079 Fiber Laser Kit Spare Parts

Standard laser mirrors are usually too large to be used in fiber laser applications. Fibercore Limited’s LM1000 laser mirrors have been purpose-designed for use with optical fibers. The LM1000 substrates are 10 mm in diameter and only 2 mm thick, dramatically simplifying laser/ fiber alignment, and are offered in a matched, input and output set.

LM1000 – Fiber Laser Mirrors

Specifications

M1 – Input Mirror M2 – Output Mirror
Input Surface Anti-reflection coated at 780 nm – 850 nm > 90% reflection at 780 nm – 850 nm 85 – 95% reflection at 1050 nm – 1100 nm Output Surface > 95% transmission at 780 nm – 850 nm 100% reflection at 1050 nm – 1100 nm > 90% transmission at 1050 nm – 1100 nm
The design of the FLK1000S input cell is based on a standard FC-PC connector and therefore requires the use of a suitably connectorized DF1000 pigtail. Two 3m pigtails are provided with each FLK1000S – if you require additional pigtails, or a length greater than 3m, simply use the part number format described in Section 3 of this catalogue. For example, the part number for the standard FLK1000S pigtail is: FC-PC-DF-1000-3-LT3-Gen

DF1000 FC-PC Pigtails FLK1000S Manual / Project Book

Comprising more than twenty pages and containing numerous exploded-drawings, schematics and colour photographs, the Manual first provides an introduction to laser theory, then leads the student step-by-step through the assembly and operation of the fiber laser. The Manual concludes with an experiment designed to characterize the fiber laser and illustrate the phenomenon of threshold, plus an introduction to the more advanced laser concepts of wavelength-tuning and Q-switching which may be investigated with additional equipment. Additional copies are available for purchase.
