2009 sees even more fiber scheduled to be shipped than at any other time during the Company’s 27 year history – well in excess of 1,000,000 metres, every month. More than ever before, we are watching our costs, planning for what we can predict and preparing to flex for what we cannot – ensuring that Fibercore remains strong so that you can continue to receive the service, support and Quality that have become as important to Fibercore products as the fiber itself.

Increasing manufacturing volume is the only true way of honing manufacturing skills, tightening tolerances and making the fiber easier for you to use as your own production volumes climb. Lessons learned on high- moving product lines are documented and transferred to others so that all of our customers see the benefits.

EVER BETTER CONSISTENCY FOR ISOGAIN™ ERBIUM DOPED FIBERS

Extensive process development means that the IsoGain I-4 and I-6 product lines now offer even greater consistency both lot-to-lot and within each lot – reduced variation in absorption and exceptional core-concentricity means that you can cut your gain-lengths with confidence, speed your production and reduce your costs.

NEW PRODUCTS – CP1500Y – The fiber for FTTx Amplifiers

This year’s Big Product Introduction is the one that many of you have been waiting for – at last, CP1500Y all-silica, dual-clad fiber is available for general sale. Field-proven in literally thousands of high-power CATV and FTTx amplifiers deployed since 1999, CP1500Y is still the only all-silica dual-clad fiber with a shaped pump-guide, optimized for efficient energy transfer from cladding to Er-Yb doped core. And still the only dual-clad fiber that fits standard ferrules, cleaves and splices using standard equipment and delivers the same level of reliability as a standard fiber.

COMING SOON AND SAMPLING TODAY – PM Fiber for Fused Couplers, Polarizing and Singlemode UV Fibers

Not quite in production, but positioned on the starting-blocks are three new fibers, each intended to serve a specific performance need and to make your lives easier. If you would like to evaluate any of these fibers, then just let us know.
