Terminal CPX Technical data - Bus node CPX-FB23 Bus node forhandlingcommunication between the electrical CPXterminal and a higher-order master for Control &Communication-Link (CC-Link)from Mitsubishi. The bus node is provided with system supply via the interlinkingblockand processes communication with the I/O modules. The status of the CPX terminal is displayed as a common message via four CPX-specific LEDs. The fieldbus communication status is displayed via four CC-Link-specific LEDs. Lmk OC-. Application Bus connection The bus connection can be selected when orderingand is established by means of a screw terminal with IP20 protection,a Sub-D plugwith IP65/IP67 protection from Festo or IP20 protection from other manufacturers. Both connection types have the function ofan integrated T-distributor and thus support the connection of an incomingand outgoingbus cable. The integrated interface with RS 485 transmission technology is designed for the typical CC-Link 3-wire connection technology (in accordance with CLPA CC-Link Spec. V1.1). CC-Link implementation The CPX-FB23 supports max. four stations per slave. The numberof stations used can be set by means of a DILswitch. Synchronous data transmission for digital and analogue I/Os is conducted usingthe bit and word ranges (Rx/Ry/RWr/RWw). The CPX-FB23 supports an address space of max. 64 digital inputs and 64 digital outputs (Rx/Ry) or up to 16 analogue inputs and 16 analogue outputs (RWr/RWw). Mixed operation ofdigital and analogue inputs/ outputsispossible. Example: Station 1 + 2 = 32 digital inputs and 32 digital outputs Station 3 = 4 analogue inputs and 4 analogue outputs Special points in combination with CPX-FEC/CPX-CEC When a fieldbus node is combined In this case, the fieldbus node only established via the interlinkingof the The remainingaddress capacity with a control block (CPX-FEX, CPX-CEC, provides the communication interface CPX modules and occupies an address of the control blockor CPXsystem in the fieldbus remote controller tothePLC. capacity of the CPXsystem of: foractuatingthe peripherals is: operating mode), the connected I/Os Communication between the control • 8byteoutputs • 56 byte inputs and/or valves, sensors and actuators block and CPX fieldbus node is • 8 byte inputs • 56 byte outputs are controlled via the CPXcontrol block. 2011/06 - Subject to change Internet: www.festo.com/cataIog/... 101
