Product specification DC-UPS: LDR8612 P.O. Box 1521 D - 22905 Ahrensburg Phone: +49 4102 42082 Fax: + 49 4102 40930 e-mail : contact@feas.com Internet: www.feas.com as at 27. June 2008 - compliant Extra low safety voltage PELV (EN 50178) SELV (EN 60950) Input 85 - 270 V or 120 - 400 V AC DC Safety acc. to VDE, EN, UL, CSA PFC acc. to IEC/EN 61000-3-2 Up to 70°C heat-resistant, Vibration proof, suitable for the tropics epoxy resin casted Buffering of 12V-systems Conforms to VDE0551 No charger necessary Manual shutdown possible when running in buffer mode Short circuit proof, overload- and open circuit protected Operating status shown by LED Application Functional principle Design first operation will be mulator light After a power failure and the return of the line voltage afterwards the maximal output current is available immediately. Simultaneously the accumulator is charging. mulator The internal power supply is completly casted, if necessary the accumulators can be replaced easily. The LDR is delivered in an aluminium housing forwall mounting with screws. The DC-USV with electronic charging controller LDR8612 is used for buffering 12V-systems. The LDR is connected between the line voltage and the system, to power it with DC voltage. If the line power fails, the system is supplied from the Ni-MH-accumulators, which are integrated in the LDR. The duration of the supply depends on the quantity of the load current of the system. During mains operation the internal switch mode power supply supplies the DC-consumer and simultaneously charges the accumulators with optimal loading techniques. Thereby the output voltage follows the accumulator voltage. During mains operation and emergency operation an output current of 15.0 Amp. at 12 V can be obtained permanently. Temporary the output current can exceed the nominal current up to 25%. The output is short circuit proof and protected against polarity reversal. To avoid an unallowable heating of the accu, the LDR is equipped with a temperature-depending power reduction control. At the of the LDR, the accumulator charged. When the accu is charged, the LED “Akku voll” will green. When fully charged, the accu is switched to trickle charging to compensate the loss of selfdischarging.
