MMS5000 Machine Data Logging OverviewMMS 5000 Module is used to observe availability, utilisation and status of machine tools connected to FMS . The same software module is used also to track events from MMS standard devices (stacker crane and loading stations ) This part is already included in the MMS1000 module.MMS Status monitor registers operational statuses of devices in the background.. This registration of status changes is based on binary I/O signals coming from devices . MMS StatusLogger handles these signals in the way that on each moment of time there is only one status active for each device . These registered “time-packages” are then used to illustrate how each device has been operating during the recent days/weeks and to calculate the key figures and trends . • Amount of status signals that StatusLogger can see is depending on the device type. For example two cases: • Device can not support all modes, for example machine tool can not give “cutting” signal (spindle rotating and feed on) in this case “cycle-on” signal is used in calculations instead of “cutting” • Device can not support all modes because there are not such activity, for example there is no “cutting” state for a robot Property Functionality Collection of data Set of binary signals from the machine tool is wired to MMS MMS decodes these signals so that one operational state is valid at a time If a signal is missing then decoding of states is more coarse grained Processing of History data of machine state “time slices” are illustrated using colours collected data User can see detailed data of each state with comments given by the operator Registered states are used to calculate key figures: • Availability of machine • Utilisation of machine • MTBF of machine Visualisation State history can be seen as: • Time slice bar graph • List format Trend display of machine state can be seen as • Bar graph • Trend graph |
