Mobil Pegasus 1005 was tested for more than 40,000 hours in equipment builder–endorsed fi eld trials in Caterpillar, Deutz, GE Jenbacher, Wartsila, and Waukesha gas engines at locations around the world. In oil drain extension tests, the results showed dramatically improved oil life compared to Mobil Pegasus 905.

Low oil volatility helps minimize engine and exhaust system deposits, helping extend catalytic converter life and heat exchanger cleaning intervals.
