Thermowells are intended for additional protection of temperatureprobes from mechanical damage and corrosion. In case of sensorfailure the probe can be easily replaced without process interruption.EA8xx series thermowells are made of 1.4404 / AISI316L stainlesssteel tube which is welded to appropriate fitting.
