Technology
Description
thiNcoder® Rotor: A patented rotary switch that can be incorporated into a traditional polyester membrane switch. Extremely low profile, resulting in a thinner, lighter unit that is sealable to keep out dirt and moisture. Provides extended life at a competitive price.
MagnaMouse™: This next-generation technology allows for the integration of cursor control devices into ultra-thin,
durable control panels.
Electroluminescent Lamps: Often used to backlight membrane switches and elastomeric keypads. EL Lamps offer cool glow in a thin flexible package. Little power is consumed under normal operation because they use
semiconductor crystals (phosphors).
%
Fiber Optics: Passive light tunnels that transfer light from a remote light source, usually an LED, to desired areas of a graphic overlay or elastomeric keypad. The light source or filters placed between the graphic and the fibers determine
illuminated color.
Subplates or Rigid Backers: Input component devices can be mounted to a variety of subplates or rigid backers comprised of aluminum, steel, brass, copper, polycarbonate, polyester, FR4, glass, acrylic, and several blended materials.
Shielding: Various shielding options are available to protect user input devices from ESD, EMI and RFI interference.
Digital Printing: Obtain high-resolution detail and recreation
of photo-quality images on graphic overlays that interface with a variety of switching technologies. Advancements in the digital printing realm allow Memtron to add visual enhancements to traditional overlays, which creates a market
advantage for our OEM customers.
Lenses and Filters: Routinely inserted into input component devices to meet application and environmental demands. Anti-glare, anti-reflective, circular and linear polarized, IR,
and impact lenses are integrated to insure optimum viewing and functional performance.
