MEI 21 is a wire feed unit with four wire rollers for mechanized TIG welding.

MEI 21 is aseparate wire feed unit.This is agreat advantage since iteliminatesthe need for a wire feedunit and wire spool mounted onthe welding head.The MEI 21is easily connectedtothetool via aflexible wire guide. Another great advantage with a separatewire feed unit is that 5 kg wire spools can be used,thus lower cost ofconsumables.The weightofthe MEI 21, including the wire spool, is only 9 kg. Theunit is equipped with ahandle, which in combination with the low weight makesthewire feed unit easyto move and use.MEI 21 canbe usedtogether with the power source Aristo™MechTigC2002i or power sourceAristo™MechTig4000i combined with controlbox Aristo™MechControl2 or 4.The wire feed unit can be usedfor wire dimensionsfrom 0.6 mmto 0.8 mm.A geared DC motor drives thefeed rollers via gear wheels. The motoris equipped with a pulse generator,with feedback to thepower source. The pulse generator enables the exact adjustment ofrotation speed. Thefeed rollers features two grooves forconsumables, where each groove is adaptedtoaspecific wire dimension. This gives the wire thecorrect feed pressure.To enable the necessary friction between wire and feed roller, two of therollersare mounted in a spring device with adjustable pressure.The MEI 21is deliveredtogether with wire nozzle straightforPRB 17-170 complete with adjustable device.
