bus connector: housings in-house
We have adapted the ERbic connector design for
Profibus and CANbus to the new “Blackbox” customer
platform, taking the opportunity to throw in a few
other improvements as well. This means you enjoy
more flexibility, higher quality and practical handling:
• Undetachably installed individual parts
• 3 connection options: IDC, cage clamp or
screw terminal
• Customer logo can be injected into the housing
• Label for identification through color and text
• Exchangeable cable clip for 6 to 9 mm
cable diameter
Following the motto of “If there’s ERNI on the outside,
there’s ERNI on the inside”, we are now integrating
Sub-D connectors from our own production, offering
the known advantages as regards precision, stability
and contact reliability. The bus PCBs will also now
be produced and soldered by the specialists at ERNI
Electronic Solutions. This complete in-house production
means you can rely on ERNI quality right across
the process chain - design, construction, assembly,
soldering, inspection - above and beyond Profibus
and CANbus standards.
M12 sealed and as 90° version
It’s almost like a fairy story - as if we had kissed a
whole industry awake: the launch of our M12 connectors
led to an enormous leap in interest in these SMTcompatible
connectors for industrial applications.
And requests for variations also. So, here they are:
An optional O-ring seals during the casting process
and in the unmated state. I/O distributor boxes in
M8/M12 with PCBs coated with a transparent sealing
compound (to save on O-rings and light guides)
reduce costs and installation expenditure. The 4-pin
90° version is similarly SMT-compatible, while the
PCB can be even narrower than the connector diameter.
Ideal for use in sensors and particularly compact
I/O- and bus applications.
