This might include searching for solutions together, entering into temporary design and development partnerships, having complex PCBs manufactured by ERNI or simply sourcing the best possible connectors. This is all the more important when it is expertise and not sheer quantity, that is required. That’s why the focus of this year’s new products from ERNI is on customer-friendly additions to tried-andtested series and expanding our services to offer a complete, one-stop solution. With ERNI, you’re heading in the right direction. You set the pace. MicroSpeed Blind-mate MicroSpeed 90° MicroSpeed: Blind-mate and 90° revolution If a Blind-date isn’t exciting enough, you can now try a Blind-mate: lateral guide pins prevent twisting and incorrect mating. The reinforced housing side walls can withstand high forces and tolerance angles, making even blind mating no problem for the connectors. That’s a key practical and quality characteristic for such compact connectors. The MicroSpeed is now available in a 90° form in the Blind-mate version in addition to the standard version. That may sound typically unexciting for ERNI, but it’s a real (r)evolution! It is the result of a huge amount of development work on new connecting and material technologies combined with the proven double-sided spring contacts and complete shielding of the top side and underneath. As for data rates (up to 10 Gbit/sec), size and robustness, the 90° MicroSpeed boasts a performance that sets new standards in the connector market. The 90° MicroSpeed opens up the possibility of ultracompact connections from backplane to daughter card or coplanar connections from one daughter card to another.
