D-Sub cable housings DIN cable housings Modular cable housing
system This modular cable housingsystem was developed to economically support wiringtogether roundwires of differ-ent counts. This system can be
attached to the front side aswell as to the wiring side of asubrack. Double IDCs contact
the individual round wires.Gas-proof and vibrationlesscontact is ensured. It is possi-
ble to simultaneously assem-ble up to 96 contacts during awiring process. Different modular sizes are available for
modular construction:•2-row acPin numbers: 6, 8, 14, 30
and 64•3-row abcPin numbers: 96, 45 and 21The double IDC is suited forAWG 24 and AWG 26 roundwires and strands. Assembly is
done using crimping pliers.
Cable housings are availablefor different connectors i.a.w.IEC 60603-2 (DIN 41612) and
for D-Sub connectors. The housings come in varioussizes and versions. ERNI has also developed connector housings for D-Sub
connectors.•KSG 183 two piece housing with locking•KSG 185 two piece housing with and/or screw typed interlock, integrated coding•KSG 200 two piecehousing with inside shielding, fully insulated from the outside for high EMI and ESD-Protection and easy snap-in assemblyThese housings are alsoavailable in metalized versions.Radiated noise can be attenuated by using a metalhousing and ERNI D-Sub connectors featuring a lamella
spring. This ERNI cable housing lineand the ERNI transfer connec-
tion system were developedfor connectors to DIN 41612/IEC 60603-2. The line focuses on the 19” system. The following housings areavailable for the different
Din connectors:•KSG 173 modules:B, C, D, E, M, H11, H15, Q,
R, E 160, TE 160, RD 128•KSG 193 modules:B/2, C/2, Q/2, R/2•KSG 203, 204 modules:F, Fi•KSG 253 modules:C (IDC technology)Housing characteristics:•Max. of 3 cable outlets withstrain relief•Metallized versions forshielding•Guide parts and guideframes for front and rearside.•Solid screw-type interlockand integrated coding >
