M8/M12 connector system IEC 61076–2–101, IEC 61076-2-104 SMT 3, 4, 5, 8 ERNI has developed such a modular system with M8/12 connectors that is fully flexible in application and has robust SMT connections for bulk packaging and feeding. The connector has also been designed for tape-on-reel packaging. The concept allows connectors to be produced at various heights and with different pin configurations. The black insulator is made of high-temperature plastic and is suitable for soldering with all the usual SMT soldering procedures. In addition there are metal shells an o-rings available. These connectors can be used to implement a flexible I/O or field bus connection on the circuit board. ERNI offers M8/M12 PCB connectors, cable solutions as well as accessories, e.g. metal shells and o-rings, to realize a reliable IP67 protection in harsh industrial environments. M12 connectors are currently recommended as field bus connectors for almost all field bus specifications and are also available with different codings. The introduction of the M8/M12 connectors illustrates ERNI's commitment to develop a reliable and flexible I/O or field bus connection on the circuit board. ERNI's product range covers various cable lengths and different cable qualities such as PVC, as an economic solution or PUR, for highly demanding applications.
