Pcb connectors

Power Taps Pin Headers and Sockets The majority of componentsconnected to a backplane are using solder or pressfit techno-logy. Power taps were deve-loped by ERNI for connecting power supply wires. Cableplugs or terminal sockets canbe optionally used for cable termination.

Pressfit technology, solder,SMT, THR1-1002.54 mm Solder, Pressfit technology12.54 x 7.62 mm Single and dual row pin head-ers can easily be broken off to the desired number of pins that is required, by using pre-determined break points. Anynumber of pin connectors can be arranged next to each otherin a row, as the housings havedetents on their long sides. ERNI supplies many customer-specific solutions of this kind. It is also possible to have pin headers with a pressfit zone on both sides - an inexpensiveboard-to-board connection.ERNI's Socket strips are a perfect addition to the pinheaders. They are fully compatible with all 2-row unshrouded headers. This combination representsan excellent way to connect 2 PCB boards. Socket strips are available withpin configurations of 10, 16, 34, 52, 72 and 94 pins. The power taps can either beconnected via screw or plug- type terminals with cable lugs or flat terminal sockets. Themaximum current rating forpower taps is 40 A at 20°C ambient temperature. If you need to connect twoPCBs which are arranged ontop of each other or to attachconnecting cables to PCBs inside your equipment, you willfind that the ERNI pin headersand sockets range offers almost countless possibilities. Anything is possible!
