| | | | | ERmet zeroXT® high speed connector system This new connector system was specially developed to meet the electrical requirements in designs with differential, low-voltage signals and high data rates. ERmet zeroXT has a very low Crosstalk level, minimal skew, good routing properties (simple conductor track routing), a reliable dual beam female contact design, different contact levels, and a robust housing. The optimized contact grid (2.5 mm) allows for effective and flexible routing. Every differential signal pair is closely coupled with the ground signals to ensure a controlled impedance. Each wafer is enclosed by a shield plate. In addition, all differential signal pairs on the male connector are shielded again by C-shaped shields. | | ERmet zeroXT | | |
| | | The ERmet ZD cable system allows safe and reliable high data-rate differential-signal transmission via thin cables. In the ERmet ZD cable system, every individual signal pair is connected to a shielded, 2-pair high-speed cable. The signals are transmitted without distortion and impedance jumps, and with minimal crosstalk. The cables are individually assembled depending on the desired requirements, such as cable length and attenuation. ERmet ZD cable connectors are offered as standards with 5 wafers and latching or 10 wafers without latching. | | According to PICMG 3.0 the AdvancedTCA Power Connector is qualified for use in Zone 1. The connector consists of 8 size 16 contacts along with 22 size 22 contacts. The insulation body has an integrated guiding feature. The use of high conductivity copper alloy allows high current carrying capability. The power contacts are capable of carrying 16 A and each signal contact is capable of carrying 2 A. The female contacts' „lead in" design combined with cavity protection prevent the contacts from being damaged. The connector meets all PICMG 3.0 performance requirements and is fully intermateable with alternative connectors which were designed according to the same standard. | | | ERmet zeroXT connectors are offered in versions featuring four signal pairs and a 25 mm module length. Alignment pins in the housing provide a guided, secure connection. ERmet zeroXT connectors are available with SMT/THR (Thru-Hole-Reflow) connections. SMT contacts for the signal pins, and THR connections for shielding produce robust connections. In addition, SMT contacts using Microvia technology provide a signal path with very low reflections. | | |
