The MiniBridge connectors are ideally suited for diverse sensor, actuator, power-supplyand data applications in thefields of automotive and industrial electronics, computertechnology, consumer electro-nics and medical device tech- nology. Despite its very smalldimensions, the miniature cable connector components offer a high current carrying capacity of up to 4 A. The availability of straight orangled male connectors and female connectors where thecables are fed out at 90 or 180degrees, enable this connector system to overcome virtuallyany spatial restrictions. In addition, femaleconnectors are available withdifferent types of locking latches to address normal vibration/shock loads (black model type),and applications involving heavy vibration/shock loads (red model type). The robust version(i.e. red connector) requires a tool to open the lock. For SMT processing, the MiniBridge male connectors are available in tape-and-reel packaging. In addition, with their heatresis-tant plastic housing, MiniBridgeconnectors are suitable for processing with lead-free reflowsoldering. The 7-row (5-row signal + 2-rowshielding) ERmet connector system consists of 7 basic modules. The modules can bearranged next to each other ina 2 mm grid without loss of contact.
