The Vortex PhD inline vortex flow meter offers ±0.7% of rate accuracy for liquids, and ±1.0% of rate accuracy for gas and steam. The advanced digital filtering scheme used by the microprocessor, ensures accurate and reliable flow measurement and control, providing ±0.15% of rate repeatability. In addition, calibration of the Vortex PhD is traceable to NIST.

Ease of Opération
Factory calibrated and programmed for spécifie applications, the Vortex PhD inline vortex flow meter provides easy start-up without any additional calibration or programming required. The local display alternâtes between flow rate and totalized flow, and the menu-driven EZ-Logic™ user interface enables local programming for simple opération. In addition, the Vortex PhD flow meter is available with Hart® protocol communication.
Overview
The Vortex PhD inline vortex shredding flow meter measures liquids, gases, and steam in pipe sizes between 1 to 12 inches. It is the industry's first fully welded sensor construction, with no moving parts or holes that can become clogged, and no internai gaskets that could fail and cause hazardous leaks. The sensor is removable under full-flow conditions, without process shutdown or risk of exposure to hazardous fluids, and there is no need for bypass piping installation.
