Cold shrink connector for 1 kV

Jointing of the conductor is performed with a screw through connector. Tighten the screw with a socket wrench until it breaks at the groove. When the core is drawn out, the hose shrinks immediately and creates a safe insulation and moisture seal.

Application: Connecting kit for simple jointing of plastic-insulated 3-, 4- and 5-conductor cables up to 1 kV which requires neither crimp tools nor an LPG burner. Principle: The connecting kit consists of screw connectors and cold shrink insulation (made by 3M). The cable conductors are connected with a screw through connector provided with screws which break at the groove when the correct torque and position are achieved. No crimping tool or torque wrench is required, only a fi xed socket wrench. Sector-shaped conductors do not need to be pre formed.
The outer insulation is then installed, and the core is drawn out in the same way as in the previous item and shrinks the hose immediately. The insulation is of the cold shrink type, which means that the insulation are factory expanded on a plastic core. When the core is drawn out, the insulation shrinks imme- diately at the other end and creates safe, moisture-proof isolation.
A fi ller piece for the screened conductor is placed between the screening and the screws. With the fi ller piece supplied, a 3+1 cable can be connected easily to a 4G cable.

Nature of supply: The kits are supplied complete with screw through connectors, insulation and operating instructions.
