Sono adatte all'utilizzo su macchine utensili poiché il coefficiente di dilatazione, in funzione della tempera-tura, della base con cremagliere è pressoché uguale a quello dei bancali delle macchine. Le RV18 e RV20 sono trasduzioni lineari del tipo "In Vetro". Esse sono costituite da una riga di vetro alloggiata all'interno di un robusto profilato in alluminio estruso e hanno un ingombro ridotto (18 o 20 mm di spessore).
