Application example: Increasing the cyclic rate of a fl ying saw

Phase 3: The cutting tool returns to the idle position. Ready to begin the next cycle. Phase 2: Moving synchronously with and parallel to the cutting position, the saw cuts the product (red). For process reasons, the speed of the saw may not exceed a set maximum value. After cut- ting, the saw lifts again. Phase 1: The cycle starts. The saw (cutting wheel) accelerates from the idle position to the cutting position.

Objective: Higher speeds without impacting phase 2 (cutting)
