Edgecam's scalable DNC solutions are based around a Smart Communications Device (SCD). This hardware adaptor is
attached to each machine tool to control the transfer of
NC files between the network and the machine. It not only
ensures the fastest, most reliable communication solution
possible, but also eliminates the need for slow RS232 cabling, additional shop floor PCs or expensive terminals.

The system integrates NC files of ISO and Binary formats; enabling Mazatrol controls,for example, to be fully supported. It also supports all types of network machines with their unique individual requirements (e.g:Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc, Mazak etc).
Edgecam DNC
Edgecam DNC utilises Ethernet networking technology to
provide direct connection of all types of machine tools to standard networks via network cable or WLAN.
Program loading and saving is done from the machine tool control keyboard without the need for individual machine
specific terminals.
