® , ECM’s patented process of low-pressu-re carburizing, revolutionized the world of industrial heat treatments. Today, this process still is a reference and offersthe following advantages: - no intercrystalline oxidizing, - perfectly controlled and reproducible carburizing depths with narrow tolerances, - ability to provide a choice of the surface carbon content,- improvement of wear resistance,- the process can use either gas or oil quenching,- reduced treatment time,- possibility to select the type of carburizing gas. To secure the manufacture of a new product or the launching of a new process, the test platform and the integrated metallurgy laboratory allow ECM and its customers to validate the effect of a treatment on test loads in ICBP
® , in real situation.Each year, several hundreds of different loads are treated on our test platform. It is a very useful tool for the customer, before, during and after the sale: - validation of the type of treatment, - optimization of the cycles and payloads, - validation of the fixtures, - metallurgical expertise, - training, pre series, - test platform.
