OPERATION AND SERVICE INFORMATION

Read all of Manual to become thoroughly familiar with this vehicle. Fig. 11 Tail and Brake Light Bulb Replacement To replace the tail and brake light bulb, insert a smallscrewdriver between the rubber bezel and the taillightlense. Roll the rubber bezel from around the edge of thelense and remove. Install replacement bulb and replacelens.Headlight and taillight bulbs and fuses are available froma local Distributor, an authorized Branch or the Service Parts Department. Hauling To reduce the possibility of severe injury ordeath while transporting vehicle:Secure the vehicle and contents.Never ride on vehicle being transported. Fuse Replacement
To replace fuses, remove the load bed and remove the controller cover. Locate the fuse block in the electricalbox adjacent to the controller. Pull out old fuse andreplace with a new automotive type fuse. If the vehicle is to be transported at highway speeds, thesun top (if equipped) must be removed. When transport-ing vehicle below highway speeds, check for tightness ofhardware and cracks in sun top at mounting points. Always remove windshield when transporting. Alwayscheck that the vehicle and contents are adequatelysecured before transporting. The rated capacity of thetrailer or truck must exceed the weight of the vehicle (seeGENERAL SPECIFICATIONS for vehicle weight) and load plus 1000 lbs. (450 kg). Lock the park brake andsecure the vehicle using ratchet tie downs.

TRANSPORTING VEHICLE

Towing This vehicle is not designed to be towed.

SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE

It is recommended that the vehicle be moved by placingthe entire vehicle on a trailer, flatbed truck or other suit-able transport. To reduce the possibility of severe injury ordeath from improper servicing techniques:Do not attempt any type of servicing opera-tion before reading and understanding all notes, cautions and warnings in this manual.Any servicing requiring adjustments to bemade to the powertrain while the motor is
For non-PDS vehicles, place direction selector in neutralposition prior to moving to prevent possible damage toelectric motor.For PDS vehicles, place Run-Tow/Maintenance switch in’Tow/Mainteneance’ position prior to moving to prevent damage to electric motor and controller.PDS model vehicles are equipped with a ‘Run-Tow/Main-tenance’ switch located below the rear of the load bed onthe rear of the controller enclosure. The ‘Tow/Mainte-nance’ position allows the vehicle to roll freely withoutactivating the warning beeper and eliminating potentialdamage to controller or motor (Ref Fig. 6 on page 3).Check to see that vehicles to be moved are switched tothe ‘Tow/Maintenance’ position Owner’s Manual and Service Guide
