The ControlPlex® Rack is an intelligent and if required remotely controllable 2U power distribution system made of aluminium in a closed housing, protected against brush contact featuring an extremely compact design. The system has been especially designed for the selective protection of systems with minus supply (DC -48 V or DC -60 V) which are widely used in communication engineering. In order to avoid voltage dips of switch-mode power supplies in the event of overload or short circuit, protection is effected by means of intelligent, short-circuit current limited electronic circuit protectors. The plug-in type terminal design of the loads and a system design allowing extension in operation help to significantly reduce installation and maintenance time.
