Quality Power Tools The Original “ Two-Step ” Polishing System The proven method for repairing surface defects on clear coats. Step One - Sanding (also called Denibbing) > Use the 32 mm diameter Right Angle Mini-Orbital Sander ( p/n 10207 ). > Place the micro abrasive disc on the backup pad. > Use water as sanding lubrication. Spray the water directly on disc before each sanding operation for cooling and to prevent undercutting. > Place the sanding disc slightly off-centre of the defect with slight pressure on the pad. > Throttle the tool on and sand the defect in a random pattern for 2 to 5 seconds. > Keep the sanding pad flat while sanding. > Let the tool and the abrasive do the work and keep the sanding area as small as possible. > Throttle the tool off first and then remove it from work surface. > Clean the area with a Dynabrade Microfibre Wipe, verify results, re-sand as needed. ( We recommend using blue wipes for this step .) Step Two - Polishing (also called Buffing) > Use the 76 mm Dynabuffer ( p/n 10127 ). > Place the polishing foam on the backup pad and impregnate the foam with polishing compound before 1st use. > Apply a small drop of Dynabrade polishing compound on the polishing foam. > Use the foam to spread compound evenly over the sanded area. > Place the foam on the sanded area. > Throttle the tool on and apply approximately 4 to 5 kg of force to the work surface. > Polish in a “North-to-South”, then “East-to-West” pattern, keeping the foam flat or slightly angled forward. > Feather the area with lighter pressure for 2 seconds. > Throttle the tool off first and then remove it from work surface. > Wipe the area with a clean Dynabrade Microfibre Wipe and verify results. ( We recommend using yellow wipes for this step .) > If sanded area is still matt, re-polish as needed. p/n 10207 Mini-Orbital Sander p/n 10127 76 mm Dynabuffer Kits 72730 and 72779 Pe r fe c t r esu lt s i n l e ss t h a n 2 0 s e co n d s !
