The construction of a safety cabinet requires materials, some of which are dust producers and are unsuitable for clean rooms. The formation of dust in conventional working spaces is negligible and cannot be seen with the naked eye. In clean room technology, however, these particles, which are often smaller than twenty thousandths of a millimetre, can become a negative influencing fac- tor. Each cabinet is tested for perfect quality and function during the assembly process and before delivery. Pro-duction is regularly monitored, checked and assessed within the scope of our quality management system to DIN EN ISO 9001. Apart from our own in-house checks, production of the safety cabinets is also monitored by accredited inspection bodies. All details of the series product are checked to ensure that they are the same as the tested type. Storage in working spaces When hazardous substances are stored in working spaces, the substances to be stored must be considered according to their properties, e.g. flammable, toxic, caustic or water polluting. According to TRbF 20 No. 5, it is not permitted to store flammable liquids in working spaces. The storage of non-notifiable quanti- ties in safety cabinets is exempt from this according to DIN EN 14470-1 and TRbF 20 Annex L.
