Mission Critical Motion Control"'
NA-25, NA-80 Piezoelectric Actuators
Description
DSM's NA-25 and NA-80 actuators are a direct drive piezoelectric bused actuators with a protective metallic frame. The frame is a monolithic piece of stainless steel or titanium alloy with a flexure-based expansion component that minimizes the resistance that the frame might impart to the piezoelectric actuation. The frame includes standard threaded receiver holes at the top and bottom and incorporates DSM's proprietary preload mechanism. The mechanical preloaded ensures bi-directional operation, providing increased resilience to mechanical load* when compared to non-preloaded actuators.
The NA-25 and NA 80 are well-suited to many applications where high force and frequency response is required.
Models
The actuators are generally manufactured with low voltage (15(IV) pie/.o material, but other piezo materials and voltages are available by request. DSM uses a proprietary preload mechanism that does not reduce the output stroke of the piezoelectric material. Models are available thai can accommodate a SOON or I000N tensile force on the output of the actuator. Titanium and Stainless Steel materials are available. Higher forces and strokes can also be accomodated by increasing the size of the piezoelectric core material.
