This insert is coated with PTFE and open on one side, usually on the outside. Thanks to the high chemical stability, good mechanical properties and permanent résistance in the atmosphère (humidity, gasses, température changes) they are suitable for ail types of gaskets and différent média, mostly foraggressivechemicals. ADVANTAGES Thanks to the high stability of C-F bond virgin PTFE, which is used for the envelope, exhibits extraordinary chemical résistance. Combinations of two or more insert materials allow a large number of different applications. SHAPE AND CONSTRUCTION The TESNIIA PTFE enveloped gaskets are produced in several types to meet the most demanding applications. Standard shapes are round and oval. Enveloped materials: Virgin PTFE, Base material: Stainless steel, non-asbestos material, rubber, ... SIZE The PTFE envelope for gaskets with maximum external diameter of up to 500 mm are made in one piece, for gaskets with greaterdiameters they are welded. Oval shapes of PTFE envelopes are welded.
