If businesses can instead think of standards, such as ISO 17025, as checklists for running a credible, high-quality lab, tremendous benefits are possible. This article explores how an integrated data management solution, such as a laboratory information management system (LIMS) can help oil and gas companies adhere to ISO 17025 standards and how that can actually be a catalyst for better overall performance. Compliance, in other words, is not the ultimate goal of LIMS; delivering higher quality product and customer satisfaction are.
