DeZURIK’s Class IV and Class V metal seated valves have a g asket between the valve body, industrial seat and seat retainer which p rovides an inde p endent static seal. Without this seal, corrosion or p ittin g on the body o r seat retainer could cause leaka g e around the seat. T his is o f p articular concern in valves o f carbon steel construction, or in a pp lications where stainless steel i s p rone to p ittin g due to corrosive p reci p itation .

B earings Support Shaft

T he valve shaft is fully su pp orted with bearin g s f or hi g h cycle ca p ability. Two bearin g o p tions are a vailable: PTFE and solid metal (Nickel Stainless). T he bearin g s also p rovide a lar g e area o f radial su pp ort, g reatly reducin g any p ossibility of shaft f ati g ue and breaka g e. A thrust sur f ace on the bearin g maintains the disc p osition in the cente r of the seat. The bearin g has a low coe ff icient o f f riction, minimizin g o p eratin g tor q ue.
