PA51 Indicator - Dewhurst - #1

The Dewhurst PA51 LED Illuminated Bodyside Indicator is designed for applications where a large robust and easily visible bodyside indicator is required to provide a clear indication of the door interlock status. The PA51 can be viewed from very long distances i.e. along twelve, 23 metre coaches and from the immediate platform.

The PA51 is available in several voltage variants and can be powered from most Door Interlock Systems. An additional in-line PA55 flashing circuit is available.

The door status indicator consists of a tough neutral grey plastic lens for maximum on/off contrast, which is sealed for life to a metal base plate on which the LED printed circuit board is mounted.

3 arrays of high intensity amber LED's provide visibility over long distances down the train length and over a wide angle for view from the platform. Protection is to RIA 12 with an option to EN50155. An optional cable feed and circuit can be incorporated to provide the flashing mode associated with the "Speak to Driver" facility.

The unit is sealed to EN60947-1 1991; IP66. As a sealed for life unit, the PA51 provides an IP66 seal to the body when fitted to a flat surface. The unit is dimensioned to make it suitable as a replacement for existing incandescent bulb status indicators.

The unit requires four M6 threaded fasteners in the bodyside and an entry point for the cable harness and (Entrelec) connector i.e. 5 drilled holes. No special profile holes are required.

Weight: 500gms approximately.

The unit has a cover 170mm x 170mm x 40mm with M6 fixing centres at 135mm x 140mm.

The PA51 designs cater for nominal supply voltages of 24V d.c., 70V d.c. and 110V d.c.

Designed to RIA12:1991 and 13 mandatory tests including, RIA20 Shock Vibration, or optionally EN50155.
